About the Role

As a security guard, your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have substantial authority and often work closely with our customers' staff on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since Securitas is part of an operation that runs all year round, weekend work every other weekend is common.

You will, for example:

• Handle cases within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

Meritorious if you have

• Weapon training
• Guard training
• Security guard training - military or civilian
• Experience from the security industry or the Armed Forces
• Pistol training (HAS)

For employment with Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
